Sessions with parents on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), child protection, and GBV aim creating supportive environment. Provision of Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) kits and awareness sessions on MHM, rehabilitation of latrines and handwash facilities, and construction of ramps target to make schools conducive. The inclusive enrolment campaign aims to ensure that children, including girls and children with disabilities can access government schools, improved and made accessible through ECW support.

Context
Pakistan, ranked high among the countries at risk from climate-induced disasters, is experiencing increasingly severe climatic events, over years. The 2025 monsoon season has brought yet another wave of climate-related devastation across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Punjab, Sindh, Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Balochistan, severely disrupting education systems. Quality education, the basic human right, is crucial for sustainable development, and vulnerable children affected by crisis and emergencies like floods need it the most.

To restore access to safe, inclusive and quality education for flood-affected children and adolescents in Punjab and KP.

Girls and boys affected by floods have equitable access to inclusive and quality learning opportunities.
Girls and boys have access to safe, secure and protective learning environments.
Girls, boys and communities have access to information on educational opportunities and social services.
Teachers’ Training:
Project focuses on comprehensive cascade-based training of 540 teachers (60% female) on pedagogy, classroom management, Education in Emergencies (EiE), Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), MHPSS, child protection, GBV risk identification, and referral mechanisms. Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training And Assessment Authority (PECTAA) in Punjab, and Directorate of Professional Development (DPD) in KP endorse the training modules for quality.
