This project marks the beginning of RSPN’s partnership with Better Cotton in Pakistan and represents a significant step toward more sustainable, climate-resilient, and equitable cotton production in Dera Ghazi Khan.
Rural Support Programmes Network (RSPN) is implementing the Better Cotton Growth & Innovation Fund 2025-26 in Dera Ghazi Khan district, Punjab, through its implementing partner, the National Rural Support Programme (NRSP). This initiative aims to organise and support 6,000 cotton farmers across two newly established Producer Units (PUs) of 3,000 farmers each. By extension, the project will indirectly benefit an estimated 6,000 workers engaged in cotton production.

What We Do
Train thousands of cotton farmers, including women, on sustainable farming, soil health, and pest management.
Support farmers in boosting their income through on-farm and off-farm initiatives.
Promote climate-smart practices like agroforestry, mulching, and climate-resilient seeds.
Cut harmful pesticide use and encourage bio-pesticides and natural pest control.
Strengthen women’s role in cotton farming with dedicated training, women-only groups, and leadership support.
Improve working conditions and support children’s education through awareness and local partnerships.
Track impact through soil tests, baseline surveys, and regular progress checks.
