An eminent development professional, Dr. Rashid Bajwa leads the National Rural Support Programme (NRSP), one of Pakistan’s largest nationwide development organisations. He holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the UK and an MBBS from Pakistan. With extensive experience in management, social mobilisation, community development, microfinance and policy, Dr. Bajwa has played a significant role in advancing inclusive development and financial services in Pakistan.

He leads one of the country’s largest microfinance programmes and has contributed to the establishment of Khushhali Bank. He has also provided strategic guidance to several development and microfinance institutions through leadership and governance roles, including as Chairman of the Pakistan Microfinance Network and as a Director of the Khushhali Pakistan Fund, Punjab Rural Support Programme (PRSP) and Sindh Rural Support Organisation (SRSO).

Dr. Bajwa is a recipient of the Sitara-i-Imtiaz, one of Pakistan’s civil awards, in recognition of his contributions to development and public service.
