Mr. Fazalullah Qureshi

Mr. Fazalullah Qureshi has extensive experience across the public, autonomous, private and social sectors. Born in Sukkur, he received his Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Sindh in 1965, followed by postgraduate studies in Development Economics at the University of Glasgow, UK. In 1977, he was awarded a fellowship at the Economic Development Institute (EDI) of the World Bank in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Qureshi joined the public service of West Pakistan in 1966 in the Planning and Development Department, Lahore. During his distinguished career, he held several senior positions, including Chief Economist of Pakistan, Joint Chief Economist at the Planning and Development Division, Chief Economist of Sindh, Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Bank for Cooperatives (1995), Chairman of the National Tariff Commission, Federal Secretary, Planning and Development, and Secretary, Statistics Division.
