Afroze from the district of Kamber, did what her brother couldn’t do after several visits to the district officials for one year.
In 2016, Afroze’s father died due to illness in service. However, they did not receive any payment of his pension. After becoming part of the Community Organisation formed under the EU funded SUCCESS programme, Afroze was reintroduced to her capabilities and sensitised about her rights. And she planned on continuing her dream to support her family in all possible ways. Afroze herself went to the relevant bank and talked to the officials to resolve her father’s pension case. She threatened them to call a sit-in if her issue wasn’t solved that day. However, within four hours she was able to get her father’s pension processed.
She enthusiastically shared how her brother was proud of her getting something done in one day that he couldn’t do in a year.
